Calligraphy in Regular Script Style
Kim Seong-geun, whose surname is Jungweon and pen name is Haesa, was a calligrapher and statesman of late Joseon. His career in the Joseon government includes governor of Jeolla-do province, minister of rites and ceremonies and minister of civil affairs. As a calligrapher he learned the style of Mi Fu (1051-1107), a great calligrapher-painter of Northern Sung. This particular work, completed when he was in his 80s, is regarded ad elegant as any work by Mi Fu.
